About
About Surfio: who runs it, and what it does and does not claim
TL;DR: Surfio answers the Cantonese-speaking calls a business cannot handle today and hands each enquiry back to the team in English. Acesley Chan founded Surfio in Hong Kong in 2024 and runs it as Founder & CEO. Surfio has not yet answered a live call for a client, so this page lists checkable facts and boundaries instead of results.

Who is Acesley Chan?
Acesley Chan is the founder and CEO of Surfio and works from Hong Kong. Acesley founded Surfio in 2024, set the current call-answering prices on 12 September 2026, and signs Surfio's sales emails personally. Any scope question the published offer does not settle goes to Acesley for a written answer.
LinkedIn lists Surfio in the 0 to 1 employee band. That means the person who quotes the price is also the person who answers for the service.

What does Surfio actually do?
Surfio gives a business a new dedicated phone line for Cantonese-speaking callers. The business publishes that number on its website, ads or listings. The existing number stays untouched and no telco change is needed. Surfio speaks to each caller in Cantonese, finds out what the caller needs, and passes the enquiry back in English.
After every call the business receives four things:
- An English summary by email, written for whoever follows up.
- The call recording and a transcript.
- The appointment already booked, where the caller wanted one.
- The enquiry written into the business's own CRM.
Nobody at the business needs to speak Cantonese at any step. The step-by-step flow is on the Cantonese call answering page.
How Surfio got to this offer
Surfio did not start as a call-answering service. The site repository records the change by date.
| Date | Change on surfio.net |
|---|---|
| 4 September 2026 | 159 thin programmatic page pairs (318 URLs) with little or no search impression data were retired. |
| 12 September 2026 | Outbound AI sales-calling wording and the old monthly price in Hong Kong dollars were removed from the home page and the Hong Kong page. |
| 13 September 2026 | The site was repositioned around Cantonese call answering, with the USD 380 pilot and USD 590 retainer. |
Every dated update is kept in the Surfio newsroom.
What Surfio does not claim yet
Surfio has not yet answered a live inbound call for a client. So the site carries no customer logos, reviews, case studies, call volumes, answer rates or sample calls presented as real.
Surfio also does not state the following on any page:
- Whether a person or software speaks to the caller.
- Which hours of the day or week are covered.
- Which CRM brands are supported, or which countries are served.
- Any language beyond Cantonese.
- Any compliance certification, data-retention period or response-time commitment.
Acesley confirms each of these in writing before a pilot starts. Surfio does not describe itself as a call centre or as a replacement for staff.
Older structured data on surfio.net listed two programme awards. Neither has been independently verified, so Surfio does not cite them.
Surfio's position
Surfio's position is simple. A company with no call record yet should publish its limits before it publishes claims. A buyer can then test the service with a paid 30-day pilot instead of trusting a testimonial.
Surfio is a fit for a business that already receives Cantonese-speaking calls and has nobody on the line who speaks it. Surfio is not a fit for a business whose callers all speak English, or one that already has a Cantonese speaker answering the phone. The comparison page lists other services for buyers who need something different.
Frequently asked questions
Is a Cantonese answering service cheaper than hiring a Cantonese-speaking receptionist?
It can be for occasional Cantonese calls, because a salary is paid whether the calls come or not. Surfio's retainer is USD 590 a month including 300 answered minutes. The options comparison sets out hiring costs with sources.
Will I get the call summary in English?
Yes. After every call Surfio emails an English summary written for the person who follows up, together with the recording and a transcript.
Do I get a dedicated Cantonese phone number?
Yes. Surfio provides a new dedicated line and the business publishes it. The existing business number does not change.
Can Surfio send a proposal?
Yes. The pilot terms are the proposal, and Acesley sends them in writing on request: a paid USD 380 pilot for 30 days on one line with up to 50 answered calls, then a USD 590 monthly retainer if the business continues. The same figures are on the pricing page.
