Why these brands and not others

Vasco SEO Tips and Ahrefs CMO Tim Soulo published the 2026 billion-data-point study showing that AI engines cite brands based on which competitor pages already mention them. ChatGPT cites only roughly half the URLs it fetches; being retrieved is not the same as being cited.
